While researching vernacular American furniture in 2015, Jonathan Nelson's design aesthetic focused on updating an American classic, the iconic Adirondack chair, beloved for its utility but not so much for its bulk and lack of comfort.

The New Hope Chair is a visually and ergonomically improved reinterpretation of the rustic classic, featuring a modern slimmed down profile and a curved lumbar support for comfort. The complementary modular tables and seats combine to form many versatile dining and seating options. Focusing on ecological and artisanal traditions the entire collection is hand made in New Hope, PA of sustainable American cedar. A rustic classic in the right hands has entered the 21st century!
